Nova Chemicals Declares Force Majeure on Polyethylene April 28, 2021
In yet another hit to the tightly supplied Polyethylene market, Nova Chemicals Corp has just declared Force Majeure on their Polyethylene resins, specifically HDPE and LDPE resins, produced in the Sarnia region. This is due to mechanical failure at their Corunna cracker which makes the Ethylene used as the primary feedstock for their Polyethylene products.
The expected length of the outage and FM conditions remains unknown at this time.
