Dow Polyethylene Facility in Louisiana Back Online October 21, 2021
Dow confirmed today during its Q3 earnings call that it brought its St. Charles, Louisiana facility back online in early October.
The St. Charles facility, which has an LLDPE/HDPE swing capacity of 847,000 mt/yr, was shut down in late August ahead of Hurricane Ida along with Dow's other manufacturing operations in Louisiana.
Although the St. Charles plant is back online, Dow still has a force majeure in place on LLDPE and HDPE from the facility.
