April Polyethylene Increase March 28, 2022
A second resin producer has come out with a proposed April price increase on Polyethylene this week.
NOVA Chemicals said on Tuesday it would implement a price increase of $.05/lb on all PE grades, effective April 1. The increase comes a week after the company declared a force majuere on its PE after an unplanned outage at its Corunna ethylene cracker in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.
Nova already has a $.06/lb increase for PE out for March, which has yet to be settled.
Dow Chemical has also formally announced an increase for April, also at $.05/lb.
